Eric Crump is the Plant Leader for Owens Corning’s Fairburn, GA Insulation Plant. This facility employees approximately 300 employees and produces both residential and commercial insulation for the Southeast. Mr. Crump is a native of Cadiz, KY and graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. He also holds an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Eric began his career as an Electrical Engineer for Mazak Corporation, in Florence, KY.
While at Mazak, Eric was awarded a United States Patent for his design of a method and apparatus for controlling conveyors. From there, he went on to become the Plant Engineering Leader for International Truck and Engine Corp., in Indianapolis, IN. Mr. Crump joined Owens Corning in December of 2003 and entered into plant operations at the Kansas City Insulation Plant. He has since held Operations and Plant Leader roles in various Owens Corning facilities to include Delmar NY, Newark OH, Savannah GA, and most recently Fairburn GA.
Mr. Crump is married to his lovely wife Jeaneen, and they have two children, Blake and Autumn. Mr. Crump has had numerous accomplishments while with Owens Corning, and he is a proud graduate of Owens Corning’s Operational Excellence Leadership Program as well as Leading at the Next Level. He also serves as a mentor to several high potential OC employees. Eric is an active volunteer in the community, both through his job and with his fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He has volunteered with MedShare, The Atlanta Community Food Bank, Nehemiah Project, Christian City Children’s Village, Habitat for Humanity and countless others. He is also an active member in Owens Corning’s African American Resource Group (AARG) and has served as a recruiter of extraordinary talent for Owens Corning at the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) Conferences as well as the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Conferences. Mr. Crump currently resides in Fayettville, GA.
