James Virgil, better known as “Mr. V,” has paved the way for the major success of many entrepreneurs through his work in the hospitality industry for over 40 years. Currently the owner of Mr. V’s Restaurant Equipment and Store Fixtures, Mr. V became an industry icon through his wildly popular discotec and brand, Mr. V’s Figure8.

Growing up in a family of sharecroppers in rural Mississippi, Mr. V overcame many obstacles including losing his father at the age of 3 and not being able to read and write for nearly most of his life. His thirst for excitement took him to the big city of Chicago at a turning point in history and inspired his leap into the restaurant and bar business.

Mr. V’s unpredictable journey helped shape the city of Atlanta as it became the force that most have always known it to be. His businesses under the moniker “Mr. V’s,” attracted celebrities and the who’s who from all over the world.
